To Murray County residents,
By now many of you have heard that the Masonic Lodge supports the Murray County Food Shelf. This year their matching funds from the Minnesota Masonic Charities Foundation is 1:1, that is, each $100 donation becomes $200 for the food shelf. Last year this project's 2:1 match contributed over $19,000 for the Murray County Food Shelf. In 2012 we served an average of 237 individuals per month, and they received 4,270 pounds of food each month, or an average of 18 pounds of food per person per month. It is a challenge to maintain that volume of food for our clients each month.
