The MCC Rebels were wrapping up their schedule before getting a week off for Christmas. The Rebels had beaten RRC earlier in the week and were looking for their first home win against Hills Beaver Creek on Friday night. The Rebels  have had their moments of great play followed by missed opportunities that have cost them games.

The Patriots of HBC started the season strong winning four consecutive games including a win over Pipestone. After that strong start, the Patriots had lost three in a row heading into the game in Slayton. MCC would get another step closer to 500 on the season getting their second win in a row.
