The Slayton Police Department (SPD) responded to a 911 cellphone hangup call received from the 2500 block of Linden Avenue at 12:54 on the afternoon of December 5, 2012. No emergency was found at the location. SPD spoke with an adult male who indicated he had inadvertently dialed the number.

Assistance was made to Murray County Ambulance (MCA) in the 1800 block of 26th Street at 1:06 that afternoon with an adult male who had fallen. Medical care was provided, and the patient was transported to Murray County Medical Center (MCMC) for treatment.

An adult male was arrested at 3:18 in the afternoon for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle collision and careless driving in the 2600 block of Juniper Avenue.
