The Murray County Central second grade class had a special visitor this past Thursday afternoon. Nicole Elzenga, collections manager for the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum in Walnut Grove.
The class is studying the early pioneer days and will conclude their segment with a Pioneer Day. The students will have the opportunity to dress in the clothes of the era as well as play games and other activities associated with that time frame.
She shared the story of Laura Ingalls Wilder, a renowned author of the ‘Little House series of books based on her childhood in a pioneer family.
