Named Murray County ‘Farm Family of the Year’
A recent news release from the University of Minnesota named Ben and Connie Post and Bill and Merri Post the 2012 Murray County Farm Families of the year. Both families are quick to acknowledge that their love of all things dairy came from growing up with Frank and Arlene Post as their parents. A love of God, family and a lifestyle only a dairy farmer can understand has been passed down lovingly from one generation to the other for over a hundred years.

Frank and his brother Jim purchased the farm in 1967 from their parents and the two farmed together for 20 years, until the duo purchased another farm and built a new barn. Each brother, Jim and Frank, then had a farm of their own. Frank and Arlene remained on the home place, "Middleroad Acres", and raised four children Ben, Bill, Brent and Polly. Bill and Merri and their children, Jake and Sarah, now call "Middleroad Acres" home while Ben and Connie and their three children, Wyatt, Kayla and Wade purchased a neighbor’s farm and called it, "Corner Post Farm."
