Murray County Agricultural Society
Local DuPont Pioneer seed dealers were on hand on Friday morning to present a $5,000 check to members of the Murray County Fair Board.    The money will be used for future restoration of the cattle barn on the fairgrounds.

The cattle barn is a beautiful old wooden structure located in the very center of the classic fairgrounds in Slayton.  In an era where many counties are tearing down the old wooden structures, Murray County has been pro-active in keeping as many of the old classic buildings as possible to serve as a tribute to our local ag community.

Jeff Boerboom, a local DuPont Pioneer representative, stated, “the Murray County Fairgrounds is a great place to socialize with family and friends during August.    It has been a nice place for our kids to grow up and learn about responsibility.
