The Slayton Police Department (SPD) received a report of a pit bull dog at large in 2600 block of 23rd Street and a party with loud music at 5:01 on the evening of October 30, 2009. SPD spoke with the dog’s caretaker who had assured SPD the dog was going to be gone three days earlier. SPD advised the dog’s care taker that a citation would be issued if the dog was not gone that day. They were also advised to turn down the music. The music was turned down.
An adult male reported at 5:33 that night from the 2600 block of Holly, that his ex-wife had threatened to hit his juvenile son in the face. SPD mediated the situation, and the report turned out to be unfounded.
