Snowmobile safety training

For this youth course-students must be 11 years old to 18 years old in order to take this safety course.
All residents born after December 31, 1976, must have a safety certificate to legally operate a snowmobile on streets, ditches, lakes and trails. For this youth course-students must be 11 years old to 18 years old in order to take this safety course. You need to attend all safety training classes and pass the test in order to obtain a SNOWMOBILE SAFETY CERTIFICATE.

Adult CD course can be obtained from mndnr.gov/ snowmobiling.

All parents are encouraged to attend. This will be the only class held in Murray County this winter.

Dates of the classes are Tuesday, November 24; Tuesday, December 1; and Thursday, December 3 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. each night.

The test date will be announced later. The classes will be held in the Murray County Central High School cafeteria in Slayton.

Cost $10 pre-register and pay Community Education, 836-8360; $12 register at first class. No money collected until completion of test. Questions - call 836-8810 or 425-3268.
