Murray County Board of Commissioners

By: Dorothy Bloemendaal, staff writer

November 11, 2009

Phase I of Hadley Wastewater project approved
Murray County Board of Commissioners are again starting their meeting time at 9 o’clock a.m. for the winter months. The session on Tuesday, November 3 was brief to allow for the delayed harvest that was once more in full swing.

A conditional use permit was approved for Phase I of the Hadley water and wastewater system on the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning commission. The gravity flow system will move the waste water from Hadley to the Slayton lagoons through Leeds and Slayton townships. The system will be entirely underground with two lift stations, one on the south side of Summit Lake and the other on the north end of the lake.

A ditch petition for repair of County Ditch #20, Section 33, Lowville Township was approved.
