| Can your ambulance personnel request the air helicopter? | |
|
Yes, we can call from the scene or even on the way out to a motor vehicle accident or something that we think we will need an advanced level of care.
We would call the hospital and they would get the helicopter in the area. Our hospital is a level four trauma medical facility and would activate our trauma team to meet us at the hospital to maximize the much need care. Our hospital has worked hard to get to a trauma designation with a great staff that has been utilized on several occasions.
