Fall 2009 has been rather cold and damp, but the residents of Chandler are inviting you to get in out of the cold and warm up your insides with homemade chili at the second annual Chandler Chili Challenge.
The event will be held on Thursday, November 19th, 5-8 p.m. at the Chandler Community Center. Returning to defend his title is last year’s winner: Al Prins. Other contestants who have already signed-up to participate in the Chandler Chili Challenge include Doran Christoffels, Jeff “Heavy Duty” Gunnink, Jerry Sandness (new owner of the Pizza Ranch, Slayton), Faye Schuur (first woman to be a contestant), and Dennis “Wally” Welgraven.
