| Votes to rezone land in city’s industrial park | |
|
Action to rezone land in the city’s industrial park from I-1 to B-1 may lead to the sale of land located there to Dan Pierson. The Slayton City Council’s action Monday night approved of the zoning change as a proposed contract for deed document, a precursor to the actual sale of the land. In order for that to occur the council must pass a resolution allowing for the sale of the land.
The contract for deed document stipulates that the city sell the land to Pierson for a purchase price of $15,001.00 with $1.00 due immediately and the balance in a sixty month period.
