Two one-act plays to be presented this weekend

Prairie Oasis Players
Members of the local group Prairie Oasis Players (POPs) will be once again gathering on stage to present two one-act productions for the public this weekend.  Aimed mainly at providing a purely theatrical outlet, this year’s plays center on what could be deemed as “dramatic comedy”, and are being billed as “Inspired by Shakespeare”.   

“Second Best Bed”, written by Tim Kelly, is a romantic speculation about one of the most fascinating mysteries dealing with William Shakespeare and the fact that he bequeathed to his wife Ann Hathaway, his second best bed. 

That, and  nothing more.
