Slayton City Council

August 29, 2007

reviews insurance policy; fire department receives $30,940 grant
Insurance agent, Bill Lundy, reviewed the city’s insurance renewal at last Monday evening’s Slayton city council meeting.  The coverage, which is through the League of Minnesota Cities, is completely itemized, he explained.  Prior to last year, blanket coverage for the city was provided but now every property, vehicle and premise is listed out on the policy.

Lundy also noted that the city’s newer vehicles are insured at replacement cost for three years, “which is a good feature,” he said.  The premium for 2008 will be $72,023.
