Weather officials confirmed on Monday an EF-1 tornado struck the Hadley area on August 17th at 10:54 p.m.
The estimated peak wind speeds hit 105 mph. According to the stats listed by the National Weather Service, the path length was 3.94 miles causing multiple trees to succumb to the winds as well as a couple of garages and a shed in the vicinity of Hadley. A short distance from there, Jerry Moline’s property, located west of the Valhalla corner also sustained damage.
The Kingery family north of Reading also lost a shed due to what was believed to either be a tornado or straight-line winds.
