The Buttermakers stride into the upcoming playoffs by ending the last week of season play going 3-0 and on a five game winning streak. Here is the week’s recap:
Wednesday
Hadley traveled to Truman to take on the Martin County Fox. Martin County could possibly be the Buttermakers probable first round playoff, so this game would be a good chance to measure up the Fox. Max Zwart was given the mound duty for Hadley.
The game moved along the first three innings with neither club unable to put on a scoring threat. Martin County was the first team to get on the board in the fourth inning. They scored two times in the fourth thanks to three consecutive Buttermaker outfield errors for a 2-0 lead. They added a run in the sixth inning to go up 3-0. The Buttermakers got serious in the seventh inning.
