Nine teams traveled to Slayton last Thursday for the annual Dick Davidson Invitational. Southwest Minnesota Christian-Edgerton won both the boys and girls divisions with their scores of 138.5 and 170.33 respectively. Pipestone Area took second in both the boys and girls while the MCC boys earned the third place spot tallying a score of 71.5 and the girls came in fifth overall at 42.53.
Justin Clarke cruised the 1600 meters in a time of 4:54 for the first place finish. He also earned a new personal record for his 400 meter run of 55.79.
Aaron Johnson finished in the top spot in the 110-meter hurdle event with his time of 16.09. He added third place medal in the 300-meter hurdles (45.59).
Morgan Clarke was the top finisher on the girls’ side. Clarke earned second place in the high jump with her leap of 4’04”. Ryanna Schreier claimed third in the long jump at 14’08”.
