Murray County Central topped the eight team Class A mens competition earning 154.5 points on the day. A host of Rebel boys aided the team totals. Ethan Swanson hauled in three first place medals along with setting a new personal record in the 200 meter dash. Swanson crossed the finish line in a time of 23.32 besting his previous time of 23.51 set on April 22nd at the Pipestone Invite. Swanson also collected first place finishes in the 100 meter dash (11.58) and joined Mason Whitehead, Zach Aanenson and Dakota ThunderHawk in the 4×400 relay for the first place spot in a time of 3:39.31.
Dakota ThunderHawk claimed first in the 400 meter race while Justin Clarke broke the five minute mark in the 1600 meter race. Clarke finished with a time of 4:53.75 besting his previous time of 5:01.40 from the March 31st MCC Early Bird meet.
The Rebels collected a one-two punch in the 300 meter hurdles with Mason Whitehead finished first (43.06) followed by Zach Aanenson (45.45).
Aanenson also cleared the pole vault at 10’ earning him a first place spot.
Garhok Gatchay also earned a new personal record last Tuesday leaping 20’4.5” in the long jump. His previous best was 19’4” set on April 18th at the Fulda Invite. Gatchay also finished in the top spot in the triple jump with his leap of 39’07”.
