The MCC Rebels went into Friday night on a two-game losing streak and standing in their way was the Adrian Dragons. Adrian was 0-5 on the season and had found ways to lose games rather than finding ways to win. MCC was also facing a team that had beaten them in the regular season every time dating back to 1997. MCC has won some playoff games against Adrian but they have not figured out how to beat them in the regular season, would Friday be the night? One streak ended Friday.

The Rebels had Mason Woldt back in as their quarterback on Friday after missing the past three games at the position due to an injury. With Woldt back, the Rebels were hoping to open up the offense a bit more but the rains made that idea a little more difficult because of the wet field.

The first quarter belonged to the Rebels. MCC scored first using the strong running of Ethan Swanson and Zach Aanenson. Swanson’s first three carries of the game were all ten or more yards. The Rebels moved the ball down the field and it was Aanenson who put the points on the board with a one-yard touchdown run and 4:24 left in the first quarter.  The extra point was hammered through by Woldt making the score 7-0 in favor of the Rebels.
