1993 – Adam “Red’ Paul Jans – 2019
Adam “Red” Jans, son of Paul and Mary (Bakke) Jans, was born on May 1, 1993 in Worthington, Minnesota. He grew up on a farm northeast of Fulda, Minnesota and attended Fulda Public Schools, graduating from Fulda High School in 2012. Red was employed by Kluis Farms of Chandler, Minnesota. In 2014 Red moved to Slayton, Minnesota for a year then returned to the farm until 2017 when he moved into Fulda. Red loved life, he lived everyday to the fullest. He loved the Lord, his family, but most of all, making people smile. Red touched so many lives. From a small child he loved all aspects of farming, especially cattle. Showing cattle and helping others was his passion. Through many years of 4-H, county and state fair and open shows, he touched many lives. Tons of forever friendships were formed. Red’s happiest fair was this past August, when he got to help his nephews show their cattle and pigs. He was so proud of them. Adam also loved car racing. He and Chad Muecke could be found at numerous tracks. He enjoyed pitting for drivers, helping on the track or just chatting. The highlight of this past September was being able to go to Boone, Iowa for the races. He loved it and it was a trip of a lifetime for him. Above all Red loved his family. He made frequent stops to visit his grandparents weekly. He also enjoyed family supper nights. Red enjoyed visiting with his brothers and loved his sister-in-law, Jenna, She was the sister he never had. His nieces and nephews were his pride and joy and meant the world to him. Red was that fun loving and wild uncle. They loved getting 4 wheeler rides from him. Adam also loved spending time with Brittany. They were a very happy and sweet couple. Adam passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019 at his home in Fulda at the age of 26.
Survivors include his parents Paul and Mary Jans, Fulda, MN; brothers: Kyle (Jenna) Jans, Fulda, MN and Jarred Jans, Fulda, MN; nieces and nephews: Leah, Aiden, Isaiah, Alaina and Jojo Jans; special friend, Brittany Clipper; paternal grandparents; John and Joyce Jans, Fulda, MN; aunts and uncles: Ann (Merle) Erickson, Saint Joseph, MN, Cindi (Brian) Riewe, Amboy, MN, Tim (Nancy) Jans, Tampa, FL and Kelly (Karen) Jans, Zimmerman, MN; numerous cousins and many very special friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Stanley and Daphne Bakke and uncle John Bakke.
Funeral services will be held at the Solid Rock Church, Fulda High School Fulda, MN at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019 with Pastor John Nau officiating. Special music provided by Jordan and Cherish Lemons. A private family interment will be at Prairie Hill Cemetery Fulda, MN. Visitation will be Friday, October 4, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fulda High School Gym in Fulda and one hour prior to the service at the school on Saturday.
