The Murray County Central runners traveled to Mountain Lake on Wednesday, August 31st. Normally the meet is held around 4:00 p.m., however, much like this year, the temperatures are steamy. Therefore, this year’s meet was held at 10 a.m.
Both the boys and girls teams fared very well with the boys coming in third (71) and the girls fourth (104) overall. Fairmont claimed top honors in both races with 63 and 33 points respectively. On the boys side Martin County West finished second tallying 66 points followed by MCC, Windom – 88, MLA – 112, USC/AC 161, HLO – 196, LCWM-Nic – 208, JCC – 230, Mad-Tru-GHEC – 293, Adrian – Incomplete, SWMC-E- Incomplete. Following Fairmont for the girls came LCWM-Nic – 97, Windom – 101, MCC, JCC – 134, USC/AC – 135, Adrian – 180, SWMC/E – 202, MCW – 233, MLA – 259, HLO – Inc., Mad-Tru-GHEC – Inc.
