Thousands of schools around the United States are participating in the 2019 National Geographic Bee. On Wednesday, December 12, eight sixth graders participated in Murray County Central Elementary Geography Bee. This year’s champion was Elizabeth Engelkes, second place was Krystyna Betz and third place was Mason Lason. Engelkes qualified to take the state test. From there, the top 100 students from the state of Minnesota will compete in the state Bee on March 29, 2019.
