Slayton, MN -The 2018 Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show was held at the State Fairgrounds, September 14-17. Murray County 4-H members who attended were Karlie Heezen, Kennedy Jackels, Macy Posthuma, Cameron 4-H Club; Jazilyn Buys and Cheyenne Hulstein, Chandler Hilltoppers 4-H Club; and Kamryn Chapman, Bondin Belfast 4-H Club. Results from the show:
• Jazilyn Buys (Sixth-grade division)- First Barrels, Fifth Key Race
• Kamryn Chapman (Seventh-grade division) – second Barrels
• Cheyenne Hulstein (10th-grade division) – First Western Pleasure, second Western Horsemanship, second Hunt Seat Pleasure, sixth Hunt Seat Equitation, seventh Trail Class, ninth Western Showmanship
• Macy Posthuma (10th-grade division) – second Trail, fifth Western Showmanship, fourth Hunt Seat Equitation, sixth Hunt Seat Pleasure, sixth Western Pleasure
Macy Posthuma, Cheyenne Hulstein, Kennedy Jackels, and Karlie Heezen competed as a Senior Horse Judging Team and took fifth place in reasons. They also competed as a Senior Hippology Team with the following results:
