Get in the Holiday Mood at the Dinehart Holt House this season.
Upon its creation in 1891, the Dinehart Holt House was the cultural heart of Slayton. Flora brought the first piano to the county and her daughter, Florence Holt, was the pianist and organist for the First Presbyterian Church for 40 years! In their honor, the 2017 theme for the Murray County Museum Parade of Trees is “The Music of the Season.” From Angels We Have Heard on High” to Rockin Around the Christmas Tree” the possibilities are endless.
This year the entire house, upstairs and down, will be available to decorate in the luster of the holiday spirit. There will be sixteen indoor trees, several outdoor trees as well as decorative decked out front porch along with the stair railings.
