1970 – Kerry J. Esmay – 2017
Kerry was born June 14, 1970 in Pierre, South Dakota, to Eldon and Margaret (Cross) Esmay. He grew up and attended school in Murdo, South Dakota later moving to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He lived for some years in Slayton, Minnesota, where he worked mostly in manufacturing. He enjoyed Nascar and the Murray County races and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Kerry passed away suddenly July 1, 2017 at his home at the age of 47.
Kerry will be dearly missed by his son Zachary (Leah) and their children Grace and Garrett, all of Balaton, MN; daughters: Alexis and Sadie, both of Slayton, MN; his father Eldon, Leola, SD; sisters: Danielle, Leola, SD and Eveline, Sioux Falls, SD; brothers: Jim, Sioux Falls, SD and Eldon Jr. (Shelli), Tea, SD; the mother of his children Gina Klaassen, Slayton, MN; along with nieces and nephews: Tyler, Sandra, Eric, Josie, David, Joseph, Nicholas and Nathan. Kerry was preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother, Margaret.
Memorial services were held at 1:00 p.m., CDT, Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Isburg Funeral Chapel, Murdo, SD. Inurnment followed at the Murdo Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at isburgfuneralchapels.com
