Jottings by Jerry – June 28

I like reading before I go to sleep each night. The John Sandford novels are my current quest for reading all the books in each of his series. Sandford is from Minnesota and most of his books relate to different parts of the state. They are about special investigators solving murders in Minnesota. Virgil Fowers and Lucas Davenport are the masterminds working on hideous crimes. I have read several of his books that take place in northern Minnesota but at least one that I’ve read was as close as Jackson and Madelia. Sandford’s books, like Lee Childs books, keeps your interest high. I read generally every night until the sleep monster creeps up on me. Most times it’s my partner who wakes up and reminds me what time she has get up for work. The second reminder is a little more harsh.

Wife: “Whenever I keep money in my purse, our son steals it! I don’t know what to do?”

Husband: “Hide it in his books. I know he will never touch them.”

Fric: I was going to dance down a spiral staircase for your birthday, but I decided not to.

Frac: Why not?

Fric: Because I am a Fred Astaires.
