The Murray County Speech team traveled to Montevideo to participate in the Speech Invitational on March 11, 2017. There were 12 teams in attendance, 35 from MCC and 26 members received awards. There were 158 total individual participants) .

• 3rd Place: Rylan Behnke-Great Speeches; Jake Bleyenberg-Humorous; Justin Clarke -Discussion; Kenzie Granum- Serious Prose; Maggie Heezen Drama; Emily Kathman-Storytelling; Rachel Siedschlag-Serious Poetry
